About the Markdown to PDF converter

When to use it

Use it to turn notes, documentation, README files or reports written in Markdown into a PDF you can print, email or attach. The result keeps your structure, so headings stay headings and tables stay tables instead of becoming a flat block of text.

Paper size and layout

Pages are A4 by default, or US Letter if you choose it before converting. Every page has a page number in the footer, long tables repeat their header row on each new page, and a heading is never left alone at the bottom of a page.

Code and diagrams

Code blocks keep their spacing in a fixed-width font. Mermaid diagrams are drawn in your browser first and then placed in the PDF as pictures, so flowcharts and sequence diagrams appear as diagrams rather than as code.

Limits to know about

Files can be as large as the limit shown in the upload box. Pictures must be embedded in the document itself; links to pictures on other websites are not downloaded and show as a short text note instead.

Frequently asked questions

Does it support tables and code blocks?
Yes. Tables, fenced code blocks, lists, quotes and links all carry over to the PDF.
Can I include diagrams?
Yes. Mermaid diagrams in your Markdown are drawn and placed in the PDF as images.
Is my document stored?
No. Your file is converted and sent back to you straight away, and we never keep it.
