- What is the difference between formatting and validating?
- Formatting re-indents valid JSON so it is easy to read. Validating checks that it follows the JSON rules. This page does both at once: invalid JSON shows an error instead of output.
- Can I use tabs instead of spaces?
- Yes. Choose 2 spaces, 4 spaces or Tab in the options above the output.
- Does sorting keys change my data?
- Only the order of keys inside objects. Values and the order of array items stay the same, so the data means exactly the same thing.
